This is the official timeline for our adoption process.

October 2010 – God placed on Heidi’s heart international adoption.

February 2011 – Confirmed in Jeremy’s heart and started the paperchase!!

April 5, 2011 – Officially accepted by our adoption agency, Families Thru International Adoption.

April 26,2011 – Meeting with our case worker to begin our Home Study!!

April 29, 2011 – First official fund-raiser, Pancake Supper where $1,030 was raised!

May 3, 2011 – Applebee’s fund-raiser!

May 4, 2011 – Passports arrived!!

May 5, 2011 – Applebee’s fund-raiser!

June 9, 2011 – Case worker came to our home to begin the home study process.

June 21, 2011 – Had our second meeting with case worker at the
Indy Zoo.

June 25, 2011 – Kirk’s Crossing Festival fund-raiser!  Raised $700 for Mollie!!

***We interupt this timeline to make a HUGE change****

It is with much prayer and family discussion that we have decided to change adoption agencies.

August 10, 2011 – Officially accepted by our new agency, Lifeline Children’s Services, Inc.

September 9, 2011 – Received home study in hand!!

September 12, 2011 – Walked into Indiana Secretary of States office for official seal on our dossier documents. Mailed them next day air to a courier service to be taken to the Chicago Chinese Consulate for authentication.

September 13, 2011 – Sent our I800a to the USCIS for approval!!

September 22, 2011 – Received our I-797C, Notice of Action with a “Received Date” of September 14, 2011

September 24, 2011 – BBQ Chicken Supper and Old Bank Antiques and Uniques fund-raiser cleared over $1,800!!

September 26, 2011 – FedEx’d off dossier documents to Lifeline!  Just waiting for approval from Immigration before we can be DTC!!

September 30, 2011 – Received notice for finger print date!

October 17, 2011 – Walked in to USCIS in Indianapolis for finger print!  They got us right in and it was a pleasant experience!!

November 28, 2011 – I800a Approved!!

November 30, 2011 – Notarized, State Sealed, and sent I800a off to Chicago courier to have authenticated!

December 6, 2011 – DTC – Dossier officially left Lifeline Children’s Services and is en route to China!!

December 21, 2011 – L.I.D – Dossier is officially logged-in!!

December 27, 2011 – Received Zheng Jing Xiu’s file for review…..

December 28, 2011 – Sent Letter of Intent (LOI) for Zheng Jing Xiu

January 4, 2012 – Received Pre-Approval (PA) for Zheng Jing Xiu or as we will call her Mollie Elizabeth Jing Xiu!!

January 20, 2012 – Sent off for Taylor and Kennedy’s passports.

March 26, 2012 – Received Kennedy’s passport.

March 27, 2012 – Received Taylor’s passport.

April 30, 2012 – Received our Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Ch*na!!!

April 30, 2012 – Sent our I800 to USCIS!!

May 17, 2012 – I800 approved!!

May 22, 2012 – Received my GUZ# from the National Visa Center (NVC)!!

May 24 , 2012 – Received my NVC Cable or PDF!

May 29, 2012 – Article 5 drop off.

June 12, 2012 – Article 5 pick up!!

June 25, 2012 – TRAVEL APPROVAL or TA!!!!

June 26, 2012 – Received confirmed Consulate Appointment for July 25, 2012!!
