So several of my friends and family have been asking when we will travel to Ch*na!!  I can not even believe I’m writing this!!  It’s absolutely so surreal!!

Most of this will not make sense to you, but international adoption is a tricky thing!!  So enjoy your read even though you may not understand it all!!  🙂

What we are waiting for now is our GUZ# from the National Visa Center.  This should come any day.

Then we will request our PDF file or NVC Letter, from them and that should only take a few days to receive.

We will send that PDF file to our agency and their in-Ch*na contact will take the NVC letter to the US Embassy in Guangzhou.

The following is a direct quote from www.china-adoption-online.com.  This website is fabulous and has been a WONDERFUL source of information!!

“The consulate needs to review your new child’s visa application (the DS-230), make sure it meets the qualifications for an immigrant visa, and then signs off that everything is in order for the adoption to be completed. This is called the Article 5 letter. You cannot obtain custody of your child until the Article 5 letter is issued!

The consulate takes a standard two weeks to complete this process. If your paperwork is dropped off on a Monday, it will be picked up from the consulate by your agency rep two Mondays later.

Once it’s picked up from the consulate, it will be delivered directly to the CCAA for Travel Approval.”

So once our Article 5 is picked up, then Travel Approval will come 2-3 weeks later!!

We can travel to Ch*na after we get TA approximately 2 weeks later!!

GUZ# and PDF file – any day

Article 5 drop off to pick up – 2 weeks

Travel Approval – 2 to 3 weeks

Travel – 2 weeks

So hopefully we will be in Ch*na within the next 7 weeks!!

Again, very surreal!!!

Pray that we would complete our fund-raising!!  We still need $7,000 before we leave!!  I know, it’s a lot!!  But I serve a BIG God who is able to do abundantly, exceedingly above all I can hope or imagine!!

We are coming Mollie!!  We are coming!!  🙂
